There are two major rule change and its gonna be very very very judgemental and more work for officials. Fans (parents) are gonna get nuts and so will the coaches and players that dont know the rule.
Net Violations !!!! Net violations will only be called if and when the player or players only touch the top quaduant of the net, This is where its gonna get very tricky. Only those playing the ball, only those touching the top part of the net will be in violation.. everything else is fair game. ie... attempt to block, blockers hand touches the bottom of the net on his way up (NO call) he wasnt playing the ball yet... its gonna get ugly boys!!!
Center line - you must still keep at least part of your foot on or above the center line (shadowing), however any other part of your body may cross the line completely as long as not to interfere with opposing players
These rule changes take effect this up coming season 09-10
