There were huge upsets in the 16s division. SCVC 15 QS over Balboa Bay 16 Quiksilver, leading SCVC to take 1st in their pool and end up with a 3rd place finish and Balboa getting a 5th place, while Balboa Bay's 15s took 7th.

In the semifinals MB Surf had a huge upset over SCVC 16 QS, leading into the finals where they beat 3rd seeded Seaside who had beaten SCVC 15s 28-26.

18s division seemed to go about as planned, no major upsets.
SD VB 10
Except in the 18's Epic 17's ended up second when seated 13th so that's kind of an upset

Yes, Epic 17's beat OCVC 17's right off first match this morning. and only finally lost to Manh Beach 18's.
Epic has picked it up for sure this year. OCVC 17's are not a shoo in at JO's, apparently.

Oh really? I only knew that MB Surf had won, and I just assumed it was OCVC 17s. Looks like there were a lot of upsets in both divisions then.
