they were. they won the NYS Regional tournament. which is pretty much the state tournament because there aren't enough sections to have a state tournament

this list is only for players whose coaches are members. they should find a way to make a team of all players regardless if their coach is a member

We do the same thing for fab 50 and all state in our state. U must be a member of the PVCA or something like that.

Really what coach who has a talented athlete worthy of an award like this, WOULDNT SIGN UP to be a member?

Only one from Loyola? They should have at least two or three, the whole team was insane. Two from Mater Dei, who lost to Loyola (even though Hughes should have EASILY made 1st team)? None from Mira Costa, even though they had Ian Satterfield and Evan Licht? THREE from a New York team that doesn't even compare to top Midwest and CA teams? I'm calling shenanigans on this list.

No Madisson McKibbin either? I think the explanation was already given- have to by an AVCA member. Seem like all the lists have a slant. I'll bet if it was set up so they couldn't game it, the kids would do a better job of selecting the best impact players.

Oh yeah, don't know how I forgot about him. If you are the captain of the Fab 50, and you're so good that a team in Manhattan Beach will give you a spot that someone else could have even though you live in Hawaii, you deserve 1st team no question.

And no Maurice Torres either? This list needs some serious revisions.

Exactly, there's just an uncountable number of holes in this list.

Wow, this list is actually like Swiss cheese, but smells like limburger...

Madison & Connor are one and two in the nation.

Just ask Coach Speraw I think he might know a thing or two!

He heavily recruited both players and will tell you the real truth about the class of 09’s capabilities.

Tonight the Balboa 18’s scrimmaged the core of the UCI team and took two games of three off of them. So you might just want to run down their starting lineup and take them to the top of such a list if you want to be legitimate, imho.

A small handful of people might be as good as Connor and Madison but absolutely no one is better. The list is just horrible.
