Tom Comfort is really dirty. He can it the ball down over blocks and when he blocks he is 2-3 feet on the other side of the net. no joke.

Rob Strauss (Big Ups 18s; Setter) committed to George Mason. He attends Penn Hills High School in Pittsburgh, PA

Is he playing there under scholarship? Is he even good? I've never seen anything from him that made me think twice...

Yea he has to be one of the best players in PA. He runs a real nice offense and puts up a huge block. Not sure if he got a scholarchip but I know that he went on his official visit and got recruited.

How do I know you're not him? Or his coach or a good friend/teammate? Just saying your view might be a little biased...

2009 Middle Hitter Commit List

When do you typically start seeing DIII committments? Or are they always just verbal? Just curious.

DIII's are all verbal because there are no athletic scholarships. The student-athlete must apply to the school, be accepted including any academic scholarship and financial aid. This process usually isn't completed until mid winter/early spring. This is about the same time all students start getting those acceptance/rejection letters except for those who applied for early decision. They will start getting listed in the next 30 to 60 days and continue through the summer.

The Middle Hitter commit list does not distinguish between student-athletes who receive NLI's (DI/DII) and walk-on letters. The listing just needs to meet the criteria listed on the commit page...

Once again just letting viewers know there have been some updates since the last post...

I updated another Rumor Mill to Verified (CSUN) although it was known for over a month, I just didn't get it updated in the database...

yea hes got good hands but ive never seen him make any really bad decisions, he is actually a good decision maker
