They nationally televise some of the big Cali highschool matches on Fox Sports and even on CSTV. When I first flipped by the channel I thought I was watching college players. Those kids can play out there. The defense, seving, passing and setting were all there for it to have been a college game, the only noticeable difference was the lack of power in the hitting and the middle looked a little small for D1.
I played my high school ball in Arizona and we won the state title (defeating US National team OH Reid Priddy's team). We put 4 guys in scholarship programs including myself and I can safetly say we would of been killed by those teams I saw on TV.
I just moved to St. Louis and coach jrs. here and just from looking at our rosters, most of the good kids play at the same 2 or 3 high schools including the previously mentioned Vianney, and two of the kids from that school are/were on the Jr. Olympic team so I think they can hang.

umm I would agree theres some teams in the midwest who could do well over in cali but to say they would all dominate is not correct. I live in the midwest and I think some are a little biast when they say no midwest team could compete over in so cal but theres no way all midwest would dominate so cal. dont get me wrong there are some teams who would really do damage in so cal and suprise some people. midwest teams do deserve more credit but not that much.

Hey can the Midwest people post a team lineup of a good Midwest school? Heights, names and club teams would help us see what the competition is really like back there. I'd like a basis for comparison

I think he doesn't play club because of basketball. Also, the think that makes Frohmader impressive is his athletic ability. He is tall and has a huge vertical so he can hit over any block.
