ParkHi
same with park on its losing spree thats like 65 years in a row... actually.. its 5 as of now... thats the main reason we were counted out last year... and we did lose... good ol number 5.
MUWarriorz10
Whose counting losses? I think everyone just needs to simmer down. It doesn't matter how many insignificant facts you post or how many times you post it (not a shot at rey his comment was 100 percent the truth), noone will ever change their opinion or be like... oh now that you said that... your right, i think so and so is a better team now. If someone wants to prove that their squad is better than another one, then win state, and you can be the number one tetam for the entire 9 months of the offseason, otherwise, stop giving us facts or bashing other teams.... thats not why this forum started and thats not what should be happening.
ParkHi
oh now that you said that... your right. ha ha, i had to. but seriously you are right. i agree, actions are louder then words... talk all the game u want, if you dont bring it, u look more of a joke then before u started talking.

there was my insite, ima bounce. later

woah greg might wanna re-think bashin on the truth. he knows alot. but wow you are right though truth did finally slip.

do u think im greg jeffers?...lol...unless there is a greg on this forum...but if u do im not..im the other middle for burlington...harris jorgenson

how come everyone is so intimidated by the truth...he sits there and waits for someone to make a mistake or say something that he doesnt agree with and then hes all over it but when he makes a mistake we cant say anything...kinda sketchy

i still have respect for the truth i just dont agree with it

i think that this forum is about expressing your opinion and if u think that one team isnt playing up to their potential then you should be able to say something...and if someone disagrees with that then they should speak up also...were not "bashing" anyone...we're simply saying what we think...and i dont think that tosa east is going to slip because of recent history i think they are going to slip because i simply think that tosa west is the better team...when we played tosa east we split with them and when we played west they handled us pretty well...and it was at the park tournement so it wasnt like tosa east was having a bad day...no offense to tosa east im not trying to sit here and "bash" you like i said early...i have a lot of respect for tosa east and i think they are a good team but i just think tosa west is better

and im not trying to get everyone fired up and get everyone talking....im just saying wut i think
sublime40oz2freedom
my bad harris i did think you were greg for some reason. my appologies. and you have a very valid point

and btw john

last year case was counted as the underdog in the sectional finals not you guys. thats why it was such a shock to most that we even made state. and trust me if anyone remembers which team was counted as the underdog going into the finals it was me. the papers and other teams were downsizing our coaches and our players to the point where they just thought that park with its senior setter kyle haggamen and its two outsides john baker and joel manning would be too much for cases dan wittke and mike moe.
ParkHi
yeah but clearly, u guys shouldnt have been the under dog, 5 seniors? who have been in so many other situations, and knew how to react to them... compared to what, 5 sophmores looking to explore a new territory. i dont get how you guys were the underdogs when u had so many notches in your belts compared to us. you said so yourself last year we were the ones that were in a disadvantage, because we were new to the whole pressure thing, and weve never been there before and things like that.
you guys had a Squad you just couldnt stop bickering with eachother untill the end of the year when all 6 of you turned up your game drasticly. so i didnt mean we were the offical underdogs, i just ment that most people were like.. oh park, 4 years already, goin on a 5th this year...theyll choak. and we did, unfortunatly. so mike... big game monday. should be fun.
sublime40oz2freedom
yeah im not gonna get distraught over who was an underdog lol pretty redic thing to contest haha. yeah man im pretty excited for monday. should be a huge game
The Truth
I never meant any disrespect to Tosa East or coach Simon. I never was hinting at the thought of a choke. I simply wanted to state that seedings get thrown out the door once the match begins. I am sorry for anyone I may have upset. I will also make sure to check my facts next time.
Brauner4
Its ok Truth I forgive you
ReyReyXI
it's okay truth, i forgive you, and i agree with what you said about seedings.
PXILibero2
Forgiveness? In the volleyball forum?

In the words of the great ancient Greek philosopher Brockus Cameronius, "you all need to grow a pair."

Ok, just kidding.

Maybe.
Brauner4
hahah nice use of the greek endings on the coaches name. I applaude the effort

If the Sectionals were to work out as you would imagine them to work out, which Sectional Final would you attend (other then your own)?
Brauner4
I would have to go with the East Vs. West one. That is going to be insane. When ever you get cross town rivals especially the battle of the Tosa's its going down.

That atmosphere is ridiculous. Ive been there the past two years and its been packed gym and very hostile atmosphere. West and East always get good crowds anyways but when your playing for the "owning tosa" as they say, and playing to go to state, its always intense. I would expect nothing different this year. The kimberly appleton north matchup could be interesting but its kind of far away.marquette and pius will be a match worth attending and new berlin muskego final could be a battle.

Marquette, Homestead, Tosa East, Tosa West, Appleton North, Shorewood, Nicolet, Greenfield, Hale, Brookfield East, Appleton East, Greendale and a few others......Total of 15 with 3 - 5 team pools. I will post the pools once I get them this week.

This is coach Simon, not Danny, because he was already logged in. Well truth, you are not speaking the truth.............Last year we were the #1 seed; the year before, Tosa West was the #1 seed, and to suggest that my team choked those two years along with the Marquette sectional final in 2003 as some have suggested is a profound injustice to the very talented teams that beat us; namely Ciriaks, Pickering, Kirchner, and all the other players at Tosa West, and the totally stacked MUHS team that we somehow managed to beat three times in 2003, only to lose in the sectional final. They had Mulcahy, Nowak (sp), Hutz, etc.
Check your facts truth...........and yes; I do know who you are!!!!!!!!!

To be completely fair, we were a very inexperianced team in 2003. 2003 was probably the least experienced team we have had in the last 5 years. Hutz and Nowak were non-factors in 2003 considering they were sophmores and didn't play much. I believe they served for Mulchay in a few matches. Luke Mueller was our setter that year. We won games generally in the fifth game because we were very conditioned, not because we were the most talented. We had many shortcomings at outside especially. We didn't blow teams out of the water like many other years. 2004 was probably the best team we had since 2002.
Brauner4
Wow that homestead tourney looks insane!!!! I wish our squad was in that one, i want to play App. North and Kaukauna. But it looks like i'll have to wait till state.
Irish#3
Yeah I agree that tournament looks crazy.. too bad we got our conference tournament.

on what this tourney's gonna be oc for real.

and to go along with the "battle for tosa" hype, yes, it's crazy for every, and i mean EVERY sport you get a packed gym/field. i remember the soccer game was packed, standing room only, and the sectional finals (if both tosa's advance) is gonna be CRAZY, AND tosa east hosts the finals too. aww man i can't wait.
Hawks10
just wondering if anyone else finds it kind of weird that nicolet got the two seed in the sectional...
sublime40oz2freedom
i was gonna say something but i didnt get around to it but i feel its a little weird too.

but anyways to pre-answer everyone who asks
big match up tomorrow
case vs park at case
always a good match
and i promise to make it one tomorrow
ill make it worth the trip
Brauner4
The other thing i don't get is why the sectional championship venues stay the same even when that team gets knocked out. I mean this year for us its hosted by Fort Atkinson. To me it doesnt make sense does anyone else agree?
Capncrunch
Well hawks10-

Coaches vote on Sectional seedings so maybe you should be asking your coach for that answer, also, regardless if you got the two seed, you would still end up playing nicolet in the semis (if things go the way seedings are)

doesn't fa usually make it to the finals?
oh and mike, i don't mean to rain on your parade or nothing, but i hope that you're not thinking that we're gonna make the commute down to racine just to witness a blowout, naw just messin, but for real...
Brauner4
Normally, but lets say they don't, and its us and KM then its too schools from down here going up there to play
Irish#3
Yeah I know what ya mean taylor.. last year for sectional finals Park and Case had to go up to Pius to play when both our schools are 5-10 min away... I mean it just makes the atmosphere alot less intense when you dont have as big as a crowd yelling and screaming to get you pumped.
ParkHi
sam there was a huge crowd at that game, it just happend to be case fans... but there were some park ones too, now dont get me wrong, if it was hosted at case or park i garentee a full gym, well maybe not full, but still.

oh and mike, lets have soem fun tomorrow night. ha ha, what position are you playing this game? weakside? hope so ha ha

Two years ago Homestead and Shorewood had to travel up to Manitowoc, now there is a trip.

Hawks10-
Out of curiosity not to start anything here, but why do you believe Arrowhead should have been a higher seed. Just curious to hear your thoughts.

well it seemed pre-meeting that everyone had arrowhead as the two seed

however we havent really done much this year as far as big finishes in tournaments, but im pretty sure nicolet has not been too succesful either.

Even so we have advanced out of pool play in every tournament we've attended, getting knocked out by tosa east and marquette in two of them and also kimberly at middleton.

Another thing is recently we just beat a top 5 team and i thought that might count for something.

anyway i just found it a little weird theres probably something im missing and we would have to play nicolet regardless..

and im sure you turned some heads in the coaches sectional meeting no doubt

QUOTE(ikevolleyball @ Aug 29 2006, 12:48 AM) *

Hey, this is gonna be Ike's first year for Men's volleyball. It's supposed to be New Berlin with West and Ike but my varsity team has no west people. Anyways, we got Jeremy Dejno who is unbeleivable, in my opinion and in the opinion of many others, hes probly one of the best outside hitters in the nation for his age group. Chances are he'll go All-Conference as a freshman, the kid is insane.

yea he defineately is one of the best outsides in the nation, no joke

QUOTE(Swiningstrong4 @ Aug 30 2006, 06:48 AM) *

Bobby is an amazing hitter there is no contest there especially with the way he jumps. But... just from watching nicolet this summer, ball control will definately be an issue. Brad knows it too and will probely work on it non stop till the season opener, but still if their passing is bad and they have a mediocer setter then bobby will be pushed off the net and thus not as big factor as he would be with the ball tighter to the net.

very true...

At the kaukauna tourney a few Kaukauna guys and A north guys were just bouncing at the break, and that kid came over and just hoped in the hitting lines, and he is damn good. I thought he was a junior or senior and thought he was pretty deece, thats just crazy if he's a freshmen tho..the kid gets up pretty high...he'll be dominant in a couple years thas for sure.
North Shore Setter
Hey everyone,

havent commented in a long time, but the match tomorrow i would love to see is Racine Case vs Racine Park, if i did not have a game i would be up there in a hurry, becuz that is for the SEC conference lead and i play for kenosha tremper in the SEC conference. I know guys on both teams and that would be a very entertaining match so i cant wait to hear the results of that, baker, make sure ur parents get good footage of that game, lol, i wanna see it lol, but good luck to everyone this week and their conference tournaments!

Seedings
ParkHi
burlington vs horlick should be a good game, it depends on if horlick can jump on them right away and shut down chris, but at the same time horlick goes in streaks, so if burlington bounces on them right away, it would be hard for horlick to get back into the game, all in all this game should be intence

you can ask john this aint gonna be no blow out. i promise that.

and to answer john.

its not like this matters much but waukesha south got a higher seed then waukesha north. has south won a match this year?
Brauner4
Oh and just from noticing, if Appleton North makes it out of their sectional. They will get to play Marquette right away. That would be a great way to turn all those doubters into believers.
