Really? thats news to us because it doesn't appear on our schedules, and mike hasn't said anything about it. Maybe my team knows but as for me, thats news...

Yeah it wouldn't be on your schedule because we're still trying to work it out...it's not a sure thing as of right now.

As for Ryan, he is a junior middle blocker. He was on freshman his freshman year and JV his sophomore year, so he must have improved a lot over the past year. Not sure if he played club or not.
yeah ryan was an outside for nsmvc 16's

Yeah we beat them in 3. Charlie dominated in the middle. Kevin and Jordan played well, but didnt have any other players that could put the ball away when Ciriacks was back row.

I managed to see the tosa west / homestead championship match. It was pretty intense!!! T.W. can out swinging in the first game. They managed to spread the ball out well and play some pretty good defense. The second game was close, but alot of bad calls from the ref's and along with those calls can compaliants that really slowed the tempo of the match. Ref's need to just let playeres play. It's one thing to call a tight match, but they should do everything in there power to keep their judgement calls fair!!!
Homestead then won the second and third games off dominat middle hits from charlie. That kid is by far one of the best middles in the state. Steve was quiet, not creating errors, but also not dominating!!!

yeah i agree with it, i thought marquette would get the top spot only because of the tendency of the polls to take votes away from people who lose 5 game matches, but I think as of now, tosa east in the top spot is pretty accurate...

hey by the way, looked back at the first pages of the old forum, and we were all bashing ray about how his squad has noone, along with ray bashing his own squad about their performance at an open gym...

i guess they showed us... for now anyways

i dont think tosa east should still be number 1 cuz homstead beat them. i would probably have either marquette or catholic memorial at 1 or 2, homestead around three, ahead of tosa east and west cuz they beat both of them. then east followed by west. the end 5 of the rankings looks pretty solid.

Park over Burlington in 4. We came out sleeping and then decided to step it up after first game. 18-25, 25-13?, 25-20, 25-22? idk if those are exactly the scores but it went something like that.

Why Catholic Memorial or Marquette at one or two? Tosa East beat them both. I understand your point on homestead though... I'm surprised myself. West above us? They dropped a game to Hale... all I have to say bout that.

Yes I did

Moving on to the rankings. There seems to be some argument over who should be number 1 and it looks like the coaches can not decide either. Arguments can be made for Tosa East, they won both Racine and also their own tournament and their loss was in 5 games to a good Homestead team. Marquette argument could be made since they won greenhill and were number 2 thus would move into the number 1 spot with the loss from Tosa East. Think of it this way (looking at College Football) if Ohio State were to loose to the number 5 ranked team in the country would you still expect them to be ranked number 1, no most likely the number 2 team would move up, and they would drop a couple spaces. In my opinion the top 4 (Tosa East, Marquette, Homestead, and Memorial) are all interchangeable. Tosa west is a solid 5 and I think Park deserves the 6, ecspecially with their win last night over Burlington. 7-10 (Appleton North, Shorewood, Pius, Burlington) can also be placed anywhere.

My question to you guys is who from the HM category (Kimberly, Greenfield, Arrowhead, Kettle Moraine, Nicolet or Horlick) has the best chance to move up and crack the top 10 this year.

Not to sound liek I'm defending memorial here but im not, but to defend his post, yeah tosa east beat memorial and marquette but memorial beat homestead, who beat you, which is why the truth once again was right in saying that the top 4 in the state are inchangable, because teams that one team beat could have lost to another team... and so on and so forth...

do i think memorial should be number one? not necessarily, but i don't think that tosa east is a no doubt number 1 in anyones minds.

I could have not said it better my self, nice job turth! There are going to be alot of supprise as this H.S. season continues. The top ten will change every week. Teams are going have good days and bad days, but what is going to seperate the teams that make it to the big show from the rest, are the way they deal and learn from their losses.

I have seen Greenfield play multiple times this season. They really appear to be playing a solid all around game. They managed to knock off Tosa West at the Kettle Moraine Tour. and played a very intense game in cross over pool play with marquette in the Racine Inv. That game really could have went either way. Both teams played unheard of defense. Which seems to be present in all the top ten high schools. Offense from this point of the season has really taken a back row seat to the style of defense that is being displayed.

As for greenfield I was shocked to see them competing at such a high level for a team that has not produced an extreme amount of talent over the years. Do get me wrong greenfield has had some soild teams over the years, but not state worthy. This Year I think they will turn some heads and pull off some upsets.

I'd say horlick, with a good leader like Greg and a huge middle like they have. Greg will definately tell the coach that passing needs to be worked on so i bet they improve a ton and end up at #10
