I have to agree they played a great game there serves just beat the hell out of our passer and thats why we couldnt run anything. we made to many errors to. i give alot of credit to Tosa East but i didnt like how some of them where full of them selves after the first game. it basicly came down to our ball control wasnt there.
First before i list an all star team... I wanna ask who was full of themselves? And secondly, I think you woulda been pretty happy if you won the first game of the championship of state. Maybe we were happy because we've beaten you guys twice this year already and we were 2 more games away from the tri-fecta? I don't know call me crazy.
Anyway... All star team...
OH- Meyer, Oswald, Ciriaks, Williams
MB- Coyle, Bazan, Frohmader
OPP- Walker, Rey I guess ha
S- Neuens, Liska

Has Rey from North Shore 16's last year improved that much? Last year he was tall and could jump but was uncoordinated and didnt have much of a volleyball brain. He made lots of errors and use to not know where he was going and had a horrible attitude. Has he made that much of an improvement?

tosa east getting pumped didn't bug me, but their fans have absolutly no class. I don't mind the chanting while we serve, i dont even mind the personal shots like, "hey number 10 nice bandada...", whatever, but when they turn around while we're getting announced? or how after we lost they shouted thanks for practice? idk.. i dont mind crowds with chants like that but especially the turning around when we were announced... it lacks class.

Guess what buddy... our fans wern't the only ones... I guess every school then has fans without class because its either them turning around or holding up a bunch of newspapers... Its no big deal... its happened to everyone. I don't agree with you saying they don't have class. That has nothing to do with class.

yeah why are the seniors avoiding this question, i saw one response, i really would like cause there are a lot of schools with excellent club teams i think the top that i know about in the UW system are:Oshkosh, Eau Claire, Madison is getting better, and Whitewater is good too...so seniors start talking it up a little bit

Player of the Tournament: Alex Klett, #1 the libero, from TE. He brings a lot of energy to the court, plus balls were not hitting the ground around him.
Do not get me wrong, Alex Klett is a good libero, but he was not the player of the tournament, the player/players of the tournament were between Luke Coyle, Taylor Braun, or Appleton North OH, #3!

You know, I have to agree with Rob on certain levels. For one, I found it kind of disrespectful that the Tosa East fans were chanting Tool at Brian Lewicki (he was getting tooled a lot). Heck, even one of the fans was taunting me, and I don't even play.
But, on the other hand, I agree with Kurt (it's Kurt Svatek right?). Rowdy and fired up fans ARE apart of sports, regardless of level. From the NBA to high school volleyball, you will find rowdy fans everywhere.
My point is, even though some people find it disrespectful, it is a part of all sports. I understand Kurt's defense of his fans, and I understand what Rob is saying in his post.
Anyway, I enjoyed the season a lot even as a manager. A lot fo close messages almost gave me heart attacks on a few different occasions (Sectional Championship, enough said).
Here's my all-star team:
OH: Steve Meyer, Kevin Ciriacks, Drew Oswald
MB: Luke Coyle, Chris Esser, Ramzi Korkor
RS: Tim Walker, Brian Lewicki
S: Erik Neuens, Zach Liska
L: Dan Kowalsky, Ty Cobb (c'mon, he's my boy)

Kudos:
Appleton North
1) Knocked off the number one team in the state, coming out like they deserved to be there and they did no doubt!
2) Coach prepared them well for the competition that they were gonna go up against, winning the first two games of both matches but then putting cruise control on for games 3 & 4, but played well in game 5's
3) After they beat Marquette they didnt run around the gym for 10 minutes, they went up shook marquette's hands and looked to saturday
4) After Saturday's loss to Tosa East and in between each game, after the last point of each game, they sprinted to the end line and when the ref blew the whistle the sprinted to the net and congradulated Tosa East on their win!
That is a classy and hard working program, they deserve as much kudos as Tosa East!!!

While were talking about class, i think that tosa east had a lot of class when they beat us.. They celebrated yeah, but then they went to the end line, and mainly the kids that played club together, and the kids that posted on the forum gave hugs all around, and it wasnt a sorry you lost hug it was an awesome season awesome match.. and that was very classy.. we werent left waiting at the net for their celebration to end.
Haha i think overall every team handeled their wins and losses welll...
not gonna lie though, for those who play for tosa greenfield and tremper they know what im talking about when i say that the entire teams section of the stand went nuts when appleton north won hahaha there were high fives all around it was like during the superbowl u see the videos of the bars of the people from the home towns going nuts, thats what it was like it was so funny hahaha.

If you are interested in purchasing a video of any of the State Championship matches, go to
http://www.prepfilms.com/ They seem at little expensive at 34.95 and 39.95(for the championship match) and I cannot vouch for the quality. But I mention it in case anybody is interested. They also have some previous year's matches availble.

Well another high school season has come and gone. Time for me to take a back seat for a while, as I do not post or follow as closely as I do high school. Best of luck to everyone in the club season. I usually attend the boys festival so I will watch some of you play then. I will still check in on the site every once in a while to see how all the Wisconsin teams are doing on the national level and to see what clubs everyone ended up at. Best of luck rep the state well, and once again what a season a combined 147 pages on Wisconsin volleyball (if you combine all 3 threads) is awesome. Wish we had this site when I played.

omg yes our students had little to none class that match, it was embarassing. but i think that if the match was at west, and your fans were tailgating like our fans did (and they did that for state too!), they'd do the same to us, forcing me to kick someones butt lol i'm just playin. basically saying that's just the heat of the rivalry, and i'm pretty sure whenever us and west meet in sports, you have about 100 cops, and a fight or two always breaks out
