Yeah that game was in 2002. That game was absolutely nuts. Marquette won the first two then Nicolet took the next two, and Marquette won the last game by 2 points. That game took like 2 and a half hours because they were using old school rules. Grunsts was probably the most dominant middle this state has seen in the last 10 years.

Maybe, taylor, lol, it is possible, secret parties!

Pius Boy's Volleyball was the team of the week for winning their conference tournament. I too was surprised that no one else commented on that. But the real team at Pius High School is the Pius Football team, who in the world so them coming. The Volleyball team has to keep winning just to keep pace.

The #1 seeds should have no problem with the #4 seeds on Tuesday. I think the #2s vs the #3s all look like exciting matches. My picks are as follows:

Middleton over Mukwonago. Muktown does not pass or set very well.
TW over Shorewood. TW is on a roll as of late.
Kaukauna over Kimberly. How can I go against my good friend at Kaukauna. But if I was betting...
Pius over Hale. Should be a good match, but Pius' defense will prove to be the difference.
Kettle Moraine over Ft Atkinson. Mostly because I never saw Fort play.
New Berlin over Muskego Never saw either team play, but the (Freshman) Second Coming plays with NB so I pick them.
Greenfield over Horlick. Greenfield, another pretty scrappy team.
For those of us who live in the Milwaukee area and cannot afford a ticket to see the Duke/North Carolina game, Arrowhead vs Nicolet, is the game of the day. I have seen Arrowhead at its finest in the win over CMH and for some strange reason I believe that team will show up again, must be the cough syrup I'm on. Arrowhead in 4 games.

The Truth has never invited me over for dinner and to watch old WIAA tapes of the State Championships, but then again I'm not waiting by the phone.

When and where is the Pius vs. Marquette game?

Darn there goes the secrect party idea... Time for a new plan.... hahaha

Assuming we prevail over Hale, and Marquette tops whoever won that regional..... 7 PM Thursday night, at Marquette.

Well if we lose to muskego on tuesday (which most likely wont happen) i'll come and watch... thats gonna be a tight game.

rivalry?

so maybe not a "rivalry" but our conference matches in most sports are pretty competitive. whatever, call it what you want, but i'm pretty excited for tomorrow.

yes, the "battle for the east" does get intense in every sport, that's because it's always good competition.

Dont overlook muskego man, they are better than teams think, their decent to where if u overlook them and dont catch on to what they do they can beat teams. If you play muskego ur from new berlin eisenhower west, good luck man, cuz if u win and we win, we play thursday at south milwaukee! That'd be tight! Good luck man!

there's a pretty good article in the journal about tosa east today, there was one the other day on marquette. nice to see boys volleyball getting some articles in the journal.

Hale over Pius in 5. Pius walked over them in the first two but Hale came swinging back and got hot. Some costly errors by Pius in the fifth game lead to a Hale victory. Only score I remember is 15-12 in the fifth game.

tosa west over shorewood in 5 (15-9). i raced over from east to catch the last game.

who ever said that hale would win is a genious. i thought they were joking but wow. that is incredible. also tosa west vs east is going to be a great match. not as interested in going to the marquette match now...

...Kaukauna lost to Kimberly tonight in 3...we came out slow and playd like s h i t...and they played good. Plain and simple. scores were like 25-17, 25-19, 26-24....If North beats them, all i have to say is watch out Quette!!! That is gonna be one hell of a match to watch.

I think a couple of kaukauna guys will prolly go down to state, so i'll see all you guys there...Good Luck to everyone.

It sucks that we had to end out seasno by playing bad...i wouldn't of cared as much if we played well and got beat, but it was just ugly..really sucks.

Nicolet over Arrowhead in 5 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-10. One of the best matches I have ever been a part of. I am officially in the Ramzi fan club, he is a dominant middle. However I am now president of the Bobby fan club with 26 kills and one of the hardest 4 balls I have ever seen hit in game 5, I think it hit at about 7 feet. Its a shame either team had to lose this game, it was awesome.

It f***ing sucks losing in ur last game. WOW THIS IS THE WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD!

The Nicolet/Arrowhead game was one of the best matches I've ever seen....That's the first time I've seen Arrowhead, and their middles could bounce...They played a great game but Nicolet definetely deserved to win

Greenfield and Horlick was a good match horlick won the first two and we came back to win the 5th scores were 23-25 24-26 25-21 25-23 15-8

whoa marquette/hale is still gonna be VERY intense. if you don't remember, hale took marquette to 5 so anything can happen.

thank you. hale always plays tough and idzikowski is a great leader for them. however, i see marquette taking them much more seriously this time and beating 'em in 3. Great season Pius guys, and outstanding career Dan.
