No i wasnt referring to attitude. I've never really seen you play. Dan Matthews has become quite the mystical phenom around here. I played against him and was in the north shore program with him for several years. He complained about ref calls or double calls against him all the time (as did I). Don't say something about someone that you know nothing about. Then again Dan Matthews is a baller and can do what he wants. I didnt mean my previous comment as a stab at you daniel.

Hutz,
Hows the college life man? Well i was on 14's i think when Dan Matthews played, so i do not know that much about him, i just remember during setter's practices he called me Little Skizz lol, and that he was a good player. But as a floor captain though, you have to question some referee calls, i know over the past years that i have questioned referees regularly for calls that they do not make, and that i need to improve on! Mike, it's not like you ever yelled at refs or nething, not saying i do, just saying that you usually asked how he called it and moved on and made the next perfect set!

Hey everyone,

About everything being said lately! Dude, fellas, Bobby Vranek is a very good player, he gets blocked because he is keyed on, that team can go places next year, especially with brad coaching nicolet! Bobby knows how to play vball pretty well and i think he deserves some props.

Again, Brad is a good coach, he has done well at the high school level and club level, he is a good coach, who i respect, because he gets the most out of his players!

And John Baker, come on guys, the guy can play! He has worked hard to become a defensive player and he has improved tremedously, i've played against him and with him, he is a cool guy so dont think that he is arrigant at all! Does he have an ego, yes, but that's because he can back it up.

There are some underrated players in the SEC especially that should get some recognition on certain teams, Greg Haertle is the heart and soul of Horlick's team, he makes the team go, w/o him we beat horlick games 1 and 2, he played 3-5 and they beat us! Joe (#3) for Case - he is one of there better players, he plays backrow well and can hit good cross court, good compliment to mike moe. Everyone knows about John Baker, but Ben and Sam, are both great players that deserve some recognition, give props to both of them!

totally agree with Scott, our team has alot of under the radar guys that deserve to be up on these fourms as well. im not trying to sound like a jerk about boasting about the players, but its the truth. both ben and sam both know how to get the job done and ben has this mentality where he will sacrafice himself for just one point, no matter how hard. and sam also knows how to bounce the hell out of a ball, as well as play defence and block like no other. so i mean our team is really full of great potential.

and greg has this way of gettin in your head, its super annoying, and it really works, and his tips are killer, even when u know there coming.

College is tight. Its a good time. Volleyball is a ton of work and a lot of time and energy, but I'm lovin it. School is pretty laid back for the most part so its cool. I'm not gonna lie, I complain about ref calls all the time and have yelled at a fair share of refs in my life (most of the time its for no reason other than I'm upset that I'm playin bad or the team is). But yeh, floor captains have to be talkin all the time and gettin in with the refs. You have to get on their good side, and then you're golden.

Ben is honestly one of the best players i have ever played with because even when he is hurt to begin with (his back was screwed up when i joined the next level crew) he still went all out diving for everything laying out for a shank to just have the satisfaction of touching it and getting it up even if no one followed.

Sam is also pretty darn good as well, although he has his bad moments like everyone does, when that kid gets on a roll weather it be blocking hitting or jump serving he is pretty hard to stop.

But my vote is that you guys change your highschool name from Park High to Next Level High
ParkHi
ill bring it up to the board, see what they can do, i almost got a wicked set up with sport court in our old gym with stadium seating.. it was dope.. but it didnt work.
btown2
john do u know what 1st and 2nd team all conference were? does anyone know for sec
ParkHi
i know our team had 3 kids on first, i dont think second was decided yet, im not sure about that one... but i mean obviously chris brigson and mike moe got them too.. and idk who else tho.
Irish#3
I think first team was this.. John Baker, Ben Pfeilstifter, Sam Schultz- Park, Jamil and Dan Chipman-Horlick, Mike Moe and case's setter-Case, Chris Brigson- Burlington, and Scott, Trempers setter.

Im pretty sure that was 1st team but i dont know second team.

if anyone is going to be at the nicolet arrowhead game at nicolet, they should let me know. I guess as a former player, i would not mind meeting up with some graduates and watching what should be a fairly good game. Let me know if you want to meet up or something there. I ofcourse will be pulling for arrowhead, but anyone else interested in that game should let me know.
moesta05
sam im almost positive your right with first team and if i were to take a guess at second team i would take

joey k. ben a. case, greg heartle. horlick, greg jeffers. the libero burlington, trempers middle, dieon. mussen. park, south mils outside.

hm muskegos middle. trempers oh westoshas setter and their oh. little gleen from bradford. and franklins oh.

thats just my take on things i cant speak for anyting i saw no list thats just how i would rank it based on how i saw them perform.

Meeting is on Monday Rey. Also coaches in the conference have an understanding that they be the only ones who tell their players. So you will know once John decides to tell you.

Same with Classic 8... which is why I've had all my guys staying quiet on here, despite the fact that we know the teams currently.

Yeah that was the first team for the SEC. I believe that there were a couple of snubs. Not that some of the guys on the team didn't deserve it just i believe that there were players that contributed to there team alot more than people think that they do!

#3 from Burlington (OH/S) - Did anyone not notice him besides me, the kid is good, he isnt Chris Brigson because this guy plays opposite Brigson. Both play outside, and both set, when brigson is back row, this is the main guy that they go to. For the #2 team in the conference, he got no respect!

Greg Haertle from Horlick (S/OPPO) - Greg is one of the smartest players and has good ball control. He is the heart and soul of that team, He was injured when we played them, we won the first two games, Greg did not play, Chipman and Jamil did, but Greg played Game 3-5, and they went on to beat us in the 5th game. Nothing against Jamil and Chipman, but Haertle is what makes that team work!

Joe from Case (OH) - He is there go to guy other than Mike Moe. When mike is in the backrow, joe is the guy getting majority of the swings. If they did not have Joe, mike would be chillin in the backrow quite a bit because he is a huge weapon for them. I think that Joe and Mike Moe have made there setter look good, smart choice to get them two the ball in key situations.

make sure you bring a huge fan section so that we have to pull out all the bleachers.

i'll see what i can do. we usually don't get many fans to our own home games, but tonight we had a pretty big turnout. so maybe we can get a busload or so for tuesday. either way, it should be an intense atmosphere.

not trying to start anything...but in the paper or at jsonline it said you had 12 digs. were you exagerating or which one was wrong? im just wondering cuz the paper has been known to screw some stats up.
moesta05
i was told 21 by our stat keeper. so one of them messed up. but does the js have our match from 5 hours ago up already?

So I went to the Penn State vs. Wisconsin girls match tonight in Madison. If anybody wants to watch some AMAZING volleyball they should go watch either of these teams. Wisconsin won in 3 games, but it was an amazing match. Penn State was number 2 in the nation and undefeated going into the match and Wisconsin was ranked number 11 (I believe) in the nation. They both played unbelievable defense and got touches on everything and both teams had players who could absolutely pound the ball. Penn State was a little shaky in serve receive at times though. If anybody saw Brittany Dolgner (spelling may be wrong) play at Waupun last year and the 3 years before that she is starting as an outside hitter at Wisconsin...she's unbelievable. Penn State's setter is the most rediculous setter I've ever seen.

I got to meet some of the Wisconsin players because the person I went with has a sister at Wisconsin who is roomates with 3 of them. Now I know some of the Wisconsin players and a lot of the Minnisota players (went to a camp there going into sophomore year)...they're all pretty darn big.
Irish#3
What I loved most about tonight was that at the Case vs. Greendale match... there was a bigger Park student section then Case's or Greendale's lol.. Mike.. I suggest you get a better crowd for our game... just throwing it out there... smile.gif
