National Rankings are not needed. All you need is southern california rankings, and the team at #1 in those would be the national champs because no high school vball compares to socal.

have to agree that prolly 8 out of 10 would be socal teams but would have to say marquette university high school has an amazing team from wisconsin n could compete with anyteam in the nation and ive seen couple great teams from illinois and the st louis region. have to agree with most teams would be socal but i dont think you can say there would b no need to look at any other teams in the nation.I think alot of people would be suprised by a couple teams play in the midwest.

totally agree socal has way more good teams.but I would have to say I think you would be suprised by the play of a couple of midwest teams. and that they could hang with pretty much anyone.but yes we all know the best volleyball is played in socal and that they have the best teams.

Those midwest teams could definitely win some JV tourneys out here.

umm... i think u r forgetting about hawaii high school volleyball. They have a very solid 3 teams that could compete with the best of any where. Punahou High School had pretty much the Outrigger 18's team from last year... and now they have Erik SHoji Spencer Mclaughin and Riley Mckibben. Now u cant say that is not a very good team.

I think the best SoCal High School team vs. the best Midwest High School team would be roughly the same match-up as the best SoCal club team vs. the best Midwest Club Team. Probably a similar outcome. However, I think that the level of domination of SoCal over Midwest would be even greater in high school compared to club just because in Orange County there are so many good clubs with good players in each age group in a pretty small area which creates some really good high school teams; ie. Mater Dei, Mira Costa, Corona Del Mar, and a bunch more.

You do have to give some props to some high school from the midwest though...maybe not this year but over the last couple of years....St. John Vienney from Missouri and Wheaton Warrenville South in their hayday of back to back championships....

I don't really know what things look like this year....actually midwest volleyball looks really down this year from the last couple years....I'm just saying in the past there would be at least a few midwest teams included on that list.

Doesn't Mira Costa girls have like 3 players who are 6'5?, one being Alix Klineman who is supposed to be the best player in the nation.

suprised, just like in jos how we are all suprised by the midwest teams? and hangning with socal teams juts like they do in club? it wouldnt even be close, high school teams insocal are pretty close in talent to club teams, expecially thebest high schools. i doubt high schools in wisconsin are way bettter than club teams.
