For nearly the last two decades, ZAMST has been a premiere brand associated with injury prevention equipment in Japan, and on Dec. 13 the company named Robbie Davis to its U.S. Advisory Board, a component of ZAMST comprised of experts from the sports industry. Davis—who is the founder of Gameshape, Inc. Integrated Performance Training—worked with clients on the Los Angeles Lakers during their 2009 and 2010 championship seasons. Additionally, Davis utilized his knowledge regarding injury prevention, developmental techniques, and training to help basketball players on Team USA along with professional athletes at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
“Robbie Davis is a tremendous asset to ZAMST and a highly respected professional in his industry,” Hajime Takada, Director of International Business for the Nippon Sigmax Corporation, Ltd. of Japan, parent corporation of ZAMST, said in a press release. “We hope to learn a great deal from each other about new and innovative methods of performance training as it relates to our focus on injury prevention.”
Through his newly-appointed position with ZAMST, Davis will be the resident basketball expert, contributing to injury prevention seminars along with offering his expert advice in various areas of product development. The Manhattan Beach, Calif., native will also add to ZAMST’s social networking platforms, providing articles and other forms of contributions online.
