Houston Baptist announced in late June that it will add sand volleyball to its list of NCAA varsity sports, with plans to compete starting in the 2016 season. HBU joins Texas Christian as only the second sand volleyball program in the state. The Huskies indoor head coach Trent Herman will oversee the program to start, and six scholarships will be allotted for the sand volleyball athletes.
