While playing professionally in Italy, Juliann Faucette, the former University of Texas outside hitter, also found time to release her first single, “What I Need.” The San Diego native recorded the song, which she co-wrote, with Italian DJ trio, The Italian Job. Faucette has performed many times at matches for her Italian team Yamamay Busto Arsizio, and it was after one of these occasions that The Italian Job members approached her with the offer to record together.

Faucette recently returned to the United States to begin training with the national team. She hopes to perform well enough to attend the 2016 Olympics with the squad, but until then she’ll continue to play professionally, although she was unable to say exactly where she’ll play next season.
