On Saturday, Jan. 12, UC San Diego played No. 4 Pepperdine and was not able to muster up the strength to keep the Waves from sweeping them in straight sets (25-13, 25-13, 25-15).

The Waves were led by junior middle blocker Parker Kalmbach who added 7 kills, hitting .600, and ten blocks to the effort. As a team, Pepperdine hit .492.

UCSD is now 2-3 overall, while Pepperdine floats at an even 1-1. The Tritons take the court again tonight, facing off against Cal Baptist. Pepperdine will play Pacific tomorrow on their home court.
