The FIVB confirmed its 2013 calendar at its annual meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland. The biggest news from the Sports Events Council meeting was the addition of the inaugural Under 23 World Championships. Mexico will host the women’s tournament in July, with the men competing in Brazil in early August.
Some of the 2013 events have yet to have their host city or country confirmed, but the time frames are locked down. The season begins with the Club World Championships in May and wraps up with the Men’s Grand Champions Cup in Japan in November.
