Hitting a season high .518, USC rolled past first-round foes Fairfield University. They committed just four hitting errors throughout the entire match, leaving the final scores in the three-set match 25-8, 25-11, 25-10.

USC moved on to play St. Mary's in Round Two, defeating the Gaels and looking forward to a match up with tournament Cinderella story Wichita State on Friday.
