The University of San Diego faced off against the BYU Cougars on November 17, a contest that would determine the winners of the West Coast Conference title.

The Toreros were up 2-0 just before the start of the third game, but BYU wouldn't let it go so easily. They won the next two sets to force the tie breaker. San Diego squeaked with a 15-13 win in the fifth, leaving the two teams tied for the WCC crown.

USD's senior middle Katie Hoekman led her team with 20 kills and just one error, hitting .559 for the night.

The 6'7" right side Jennifer Hamson, of BYU, tallied 20 kills and a personal season-high 15 digs.

Both teams receive an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament, brackets to be announced Sunday, November 25 at 4 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
