Long before the many player rankings arrived with the advancement of the Internet, Volleyball, now in its 35th year of publication as the industry’s only printed resource covering all aspects of the sport, was presenting its annual Fab 50 lists for boys’ and girls’ youth players. Some of the sport’s all-time greats have graced the Fab 50 list over the past three decades. This year, an elite panel of 20 NCAA Division I women’s college coaches—representing many of the top programs in the country—cast votes. Who on this list will be the next big thing? Without further ado, the 2012 VBM/Rox Girls’ Fab 50, which honors the top 50 senior girls’ youth talents in the country.
