Exercising is something you either love, hate or maybe feel obligated to do just to stay in shape. Regardless of how you feel about it, most likely you have a workout playlist that gets you motivated to get to the gym or keep you going while you’re struggling through mile three on the treadmill. There are a few standard pump-up related tracks that usually work for everyone like Kanye West’s “Stronger” or AC/DC’s “TNT.” Then there are classical songs that always get the blood pumping, like “Carmina Burana: O Fortuna” does for pro beach volleyball announcer Chris “Geeter” McGee. As a DJ, my workout playlist is forever changing and leans more towards Hip Hop, but the constant theme in each song is the energy of the music. If the artists are giving their all on the record, then it motivates me to give 100% during my workouts. Here is a list of 10 songs that are in heavy rotation on my own workout playlist.
