These rankings list the top 10 squads in the girl’s 18s, 17s, 16s and 15s club divisions.
1: Sports Shack 18 ASICS
The skinny: One of only two clubs in the history of girls’ Junior Nationals to win back-to-back 18 Open championships. Jane Croson named 18 Open MVP.
2: ASICS Munciana Samurai
The skinny: AAU 18 Open MVP Morgan Bergren (Kentucky) was part of a Munciana squad that went 66-2 and won an AAU national championship.
3: Mizuno Sports Performance 18 Elite
The skinny: Finished 63-13 on the season and took second at AAU Nationals in 18 Open. Courtney Thomas, Emily Young and Natalie Skiba were all-tournament selections.
4: Synergy 18 Orange
The skinny: Pennsylvania-based team overcame a pair of pool-play losses at Junior Nationals to finish second. MacKenzie Kleespies, Stacey Manthrope and Shelbey Manthorpe named to all-tournament team.
5: Tampa Bay 18 Black
The skinny: Doubled its pleasure with a pair of fifth-place finishes at AAU Nationals and Junior Nationals. Jordan Burgess and MacKenzie Dagostino were all-tournament at JNs.
6: Coast 18-1
The skinny: Only loss at Junior Nationals came to Synergy. Featured a roster with 13 Division I players. Taylor Milton and Gillian Howard were JN all-tournament picks.
7: Vision 18 Gold
The skinny: Losses at Junior Nationals came to Coast and Sports Shack. Allie Frappier and Brittany Howard named to JN all-tournament team.
8: 1st Alliance 18 Silver
The skinny: Jocelynn Birks and Alexis Viliunas were AAU All-American selections.
9: ASICS 18 KIVA Red
The skinny: Only losses at AAU Nationals were to 1st Alliance and Sports Performance. Jennifer Houser named to all-tournament team.
10: Oregon Northwest 18 Air Elite
The skinny: Tied for fifth at AAU Nationals and won the JVA World Challenge event. Elizabeth Anne Brenner was an all-tournament pick in Orlando.
1: Austin Juniors 17 Mizuno
The skinny: AJV went 56-6 and had five top 5 finishes in major tournaments. Amy Neal named JN MVP.
2: Sky High 17 Black
The skinny: Sky High went 84-16 and won an AAU national title at 17 Open. Abby Gilleland (Ohio University) named AAU MVP for second year in a row and also earned JN all-tournament honors.
3: A5 Mizuno 171 Heidi
The skinny: A second-place finish at Junior Nationals and a third-place showing at AAU Nationals. Anne Yanda, Kelly Murphy and Jazzmin Baers all-tournament at JNs. Yanda and Mara Green all-tournament at AAUs.
4: Texas Advantage VB Rags 17 Black
The skinny: Finished second at AAU Nationals and logged a ninth-place showing at Junior Nationals. Tanna Aljoe, Caitlin Nolan and Shelby Sullivan all-tournament at AAUs.
5: Club Red 17 Mizuno
The skinny: Took third at Junior Nationals with a 7-2 mark. Bianca Arellano all-tournament at JNs.
6: Mizuno Northern Lights 17-1
The skinny: Went 11-2 at AAU Nationals en route to a third-place showing. Leigh Pudwill and Monica Turner named all-tournament at AAUs.
7: Invasion 17 Black
The skinny: Took third at Junior Nationals. Megan Spencer and Megan McGehee named all-tournament.
8: Vision 17 Gold
The skinny: Finished fifth at Junior Nationals. Interesting fact: Team combined grade-point average is 4.2. Emily Sklar and Veronica Bither named JN all-tournament.
9: Minnesota Select 17-1
The skinny: Four top 5 showings in key tournaments, headlined by a fifth-place AAU Nationals effort. Taylor Dordan all-tournament in Orlando.
10: Orlando Volleyball Academy 17 ASICS
The skinny: OVA won 45 matches and logged four top 5 finishes, including a fifth at AAUs. Jacquelyn Swalchick an all-tournament pick at AAUs.
1: Mizuno Long Beach 16 Rockstar
The skinny: Suffered only one loss en route to winning Junior Nationals 16 Open title. Sara Hughes named JN MVP.
2: 1st Alliance 16 Silver
The skinny: Sophia Dodd was named MVP for AAU 16 Open national champion 1st Alliance.
3: Texas Advantage VB Rags 16 Black
The skinny: Finished second at AAU Nationals and amassed a 74-7 overall mark behind the likes of all-tournament picks Shane Peters, Chiaka Ogbogu and Ebony Nwanebu.
4: Northern Lights 16-1
The skinny: Went 9-2 and finished second at Junior Nationals and went 11-1 and took third at AAU Nationals. Samantha Seliger-Swenson, Alyssa Goehner and Sarah Wilhite earned all-tournament honors at JNs. Goehner and Wilhite all-tournament at AAU.
5: St. Louis CYC 16 Green
The skinny: Only loss at Junior Nationals was to Northern Lights. Finished third in Atlanta. Mallory Warrington and Lauren Gresham all-tournament at JNs.
6: Orlando Volleyball Academy 16 ASICS
The skinny: OVA took third at Junior Nationals.
7: KU’ IKAHI 16 RoShamBo
The skinny: Hawaii-based squad won 52 matches. Tayler Higgins and Carly Kan named to all-tournament team at Junior Nationals.
8: ASICS KiVA 16 Red
The skinny: Went 10-1 at AAU Nationals, with its only loss coming to Northern Lights. Maya McClendon named to all-tournament team.
9: Wave 16 Jeanne
The skinny: Tied for seventh at Junior Nationals. Madeleine Kerr named to all-tournament team at JNs.
10: Dead Frogs-Far Out 16
The skinny: Turned in an 11-2 showing at AAU Nationals where it took ninth. Earned consistent praise from coaches around the country for its play this season.
1: Northern Lights 15-1
The skinny: Won Juniors Nationals at 15 Open. Lydia Dimke named 15 Open MVP.
2: Texas Advantage 15 VB Rags Black
The skinny: AAU national champions (14-0 record) also took second at Junior Nationals. Christen Sikora named AAU 15 Open MVP.
3: Academy Volleyball Cleveland 15 National Harvey
The skinny: In addition to finishing second at AAUs, won an NEQ title, took fifth at Big South and ninth at Junior Nationals. Went 65-13. Abby Detering, Jaime Kosiorek and Stephanie Bindernagel named all-tournament at AAUs.
4: Woodlands Wave 15 Under Armour
The skinny: A third-place showing at Junior Nationals capped off a 45-win season. Courtney Quinn and Kelly Quinn were JN all-tournament selections.
5: City Beach 15 Black
The skinny: Went 7-2 at JNs after sporting a 2-6 mark against the Open field coming into the tournament. 24th JN medal for club is most of any Calif. girls’ club team.
6: Fusion 15 Black
The skinny: Went 12-1 at AAUs with lone loss coming to Academy Volleyball Cleveland. Bryanna Weiskircher an Adeja Lambert all-tournament selections.
7: ASICS KIVA 15 Red
The skinny: Turned in a 10-2 performance at AAU nationals and finished tied for third. Alexa Filley and Hannah Moore were all-tournament at AAU.
8: ASICS Munciana Ninjas
The skinny: Went 9-1 at AAUs with only loss coming to national-champion TAV. Lauryn Gillis named all-tournament in Orlando.
9: Delta Valley 15-1
The skinny: Team won 92 matches and only lost five contests to 15s teams (2 to JN champ Northern Lights).
10: Orlando Volleyball Academy 15 ASICS
The skinny: Went 9-2 at AAUs and took fifth with Christina Ambrose earning all-tournament accolades.
